My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact foster at ddavis716@yahoo.com

On 11/14, Max had surgery to remove his injured front leg and is now a “tripod.” He is recovering very well and has already shown us that having only three legs will not hold him back. He gets more confident every day and can now walk, jog, and go up and down stairs easily.

Max is completely housebroken and has been a perfect house guest. He has been sweet to all people he has met here, kids (10 and up) and adults, and he has been good with our dogs. He takes treats gently but he can get a little mouthy when he gets excited while playing. We are working on that and he has made a lot of progress! He is crate trained but has not had to be in the crate much lately and has done fine outside of it when left home. More about Max:

Positive body language when he sees other dogs
Very playful
Not too strong on the leash
Loves rolling around in the grass
Happy to greet everyone
Cuddly and fun
Seems like he would be a good adventure buddy as a tripod
Would require a medical waiver to ensure follow up for his amputation
