My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a handsome younger guy looking for a new life off of a chain. As I was found running at large with a chain around my neck and about a foot of it hanging off where I broke free. No one ever came forward to claim me. That's ok as this shelter is not so bad I get lost of food and a yard to run in. I have lots of energy. I just got neutered and will be dog tested soon. I seem to do ok with cats but I will be tested more with them soon too!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The Rangely Animal Shelter works very hard to find homes for all adoptable animals. We require that the adoptive family includes the dog or cat as a highly regarded family member. We do have an adoption contract and there are certain qualifications that can be different with every dog or cat. All animals are spayed or neutered are micro-chipped and have all current vaccinations. We do require a 125.00 donation for adoptions that goes back into our spay and neuter program, and covers the registration for the micro-chip for the animal. This fee does not cover all of the costs but we would rather these animals find forever homes than charging a fee that no one can afford.

More about this shelter

The Rangely Animal Shelter is made up of a wonderful caring staff! Katelyn Carlson is the shelter manager and has a love for all animals. She makes sure the Colorado statutes are followed and that all the animals are taken care of with dignity, respect and love. Katelyn Carlson is the Animal Control Officer who doesn't usually have to chase the dogs, they are usually chasing the Animal Control Truck to go with her. She has animals of her own. Our dedicated shelter staff do all they can for the animals at the shelter and are always willing to go above and beyond for these baby's.
