Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Whiskey is your typical Lab…full of energy, energy, and more energy. He LOVES to be doing something with you, and is always ready to have an adventure- especially if it involves the water. He’ll play in the pool or splash in the sprinklers all day long if you let him. He’s been to the dock diving pool once as well, and we’ll go again this week. He was pretty close to figuring out how to jump off the edge already, and spent the entire hour (once he figured out how to get in and swim) retrieving a bumper off the ramp.
Whiskey is a super smart boy, and has worked with a trainer on basic manners. He’s very enthusiastic about it, and will need some consistency with leash walking, but has been doing great with everything else! He’s used to eating twice a day on a schedule, and is super food motivated.
Right now, he’s living with two senior giant breeds and one adolescent giant breed and gets along well with all three. He can be a bit much for the older dogs, but plays very well with my younger dog - they do a great job of wearing each other out! He’s also been around other puppies his own age and younger, both his size, smaller, and a bit bigger, and gets along well with all of them. He has lived with small children, and is a bit jumpy and was a little overwhelming for them. An older child, or even a younger kid who’s more rough-and-tumble wouldn’t be a problem.
Overall, Whiskey is a sweet, athletic, and goofy puppy. The best home for him will be one that is looking for a very active companion. I would love to find him a family that’s interested in dock diving with him, because he would 1,000% love that. He has a LOT of energy and will thrive in a home where his people are around a lot to give him plenty of attention.
