My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gogurt, the ultimate pint-sized companion with a personality that's anything but small! This charming Papillon-Chihuahua mix is a delightful contradiction-young and full of energy yet cautious about the big world around him.

Gogurt may start off a bit shy, but once he warms up, he'll be your loyal little shadow and cuddle buddy. While crates aren't his favorite, he settles in well and would thrive in a home where he can more often than not bask in attention and affection from his people. Though thriving with his dog friends in dog daycare, we're unsure of his friendship status with cats.

Gogurt is full of love and, with his bold spirit, needs a patient family to help him build confidence and reach his full potential. Ready to welcome this charming, quirky little guy into your heart and home?

Gogurt has an adoption fee of $325. Gogurt is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and on prevention. If you think this sweet nugget is for you, please do not hesitate and apply now!

Please note that we are a completely volunteer run organization and may take 48 hours to respond. Please make sure to fully complete your application. If responses are not complete, you may not be contacted due to the volume of applications. Thank you for understanding.

We can only set up meet and greets once an application has been filled out. For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at https://soarnash.org/adoption-process.

More about this rescue

We are a foster based animal rescue in the Nashville area.

Our mission is to work as a shelter diversion for animals who are facing homelessness, through no fault of their own. We provide vet care, a foster and adoption for animals belonging to owners who are homeless or living below the poverty level, where rehoming is their only option.

The majority of SOARescue animals come to us through our big sister organization SAFPAW (Southern Alliance for People and Animal Welfare).
If you would like to learn more about SAFPAW and their weekly spay/neuter transport, homeless outreach program and women's post recovery home, please visit their website at www.safpaw.org.

If SOARescue has the capacity to aid with other strays or owner surrenders, we will gladly do so. Our goal is to help relieve pressure on the over-burdened shelter system.
