Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Colt has been with us since he was 6 weeks old. He is 9. He is a snuggle bug who thinks he's a lapdog. He was raised and lived his whole life by our senior dog. He was extremely attached to her. Recenty we had to put her down due to cancer and he has not taken it well at all. He is more timid and doesn't seem to be doing well here. We think her loss and everything around him being hers too is making him have issues. He is naturally a very timid dog and shys away to anything loud (dropping a cup, thunder, gunshots, fireworks, raising your voice, or even him dropping his own bone). We have tried everything to get him out of the fearful state, but that just seems to be a part of his personality. He was raised with our son who is 12 now and our 4 year old daughter. He is good with large dogs, nips at smaller dogs and does not like cats. Prefers older kids and adults. He is a good dog. I just can't trust his territorial behavior with my 4 year old anymore. He needs a new family to love him.
