We are beyond thrilled to introduce you to Sassy and Bandit, a sweet duo who have stolen our hearts. When their beloved owner passed away, his son was left with the heartbreaking task of finding them a new home while also grappling with his own sudden displacement. With only hours to secure a place for himself, he reached out to us, knowing his father’s cherished companions needed a safe haven. Our hearts ached for this family, and we welcomed these two with open arms.
Sassy, a Chihuahua mix, is around 13-15 years old, and her son, Bandit, is about 8-10. Together, they are an inseparable, quirky pair who bring joy and laughter wherever they go. They've been through so much loss, yet their bond remains strong, and they continue to radiate love.
We can’t wait for Sassy and Bandit to find the loving home they so deeply deserve to live out their golden years. If you’d like to learn more or are interested in adopting this wonderful pair, please fill out an adoption application on our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. After you submit your application, we’ll happily answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet!

Adoption fees vary between $165-$350. That includes all medical vetting, UTD vaccines, spay/neuter, lifetime microchip, an escape proof harness lead and collar & tag. Also, since some our dogs are such a huge flight risk, there may be additional steps needing to happen before the adoption is completed.

More about this rescue
We are a small group of passionate animal advocates that specialize in the humane capture and rescue of stray, fearful and injured animals from the streets of Maricopa County. We also assist pet owners as well as other rescue groups to recover their lost animals. We provide our dogs with a safe place to decompress, learn to trust and receive medical treatment until they are ready to find a forever home. The dogs that we take in are typically more difficult to place due to being fearful and high flight risks. Our animals require special adopters who are patient, diligent and very precautionary in order to keep our "trap dogs" safe. These animals are our passion and we will always do what is best for every animal that crosses our path.
