My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlotte

8 year old, Spayed Female, 14 lbs

Terrier Mix

PERSONALITY: CHARLOTTE is a shy cautious girl. It has taken her time to warm up but she is now attached to her foster mom and is a total sweetheart. She seems to be fearful of men at first and takes time to warm up. It took about four days for her to warm up to her foster dad

LIKES: Her person, going on walks, playing with other dogs outside.

DISLIKES: New people - she needs time to learn to trust.

POTTY TRAINING: Complete potty trained and she will go to the door to let you know

CRATE TRAINING: She sleeps in her crate and will retreat to it when she feels shy. Having a crate gives her a safe space.

OTHER/MISC: Learning to take walks and does very well . She gets excited now along with her foster sibs to get going! She would likely do best in a home with other dogs, as they help her confidence around humans. CHARLOTTE would prefer to to sleep with her human, burrowed under the covers.

Additional adoption info

The process for adoption through our rescue begins with the adoption application. Once accepted, a meet and greet with the dogs is arranged and includes everyone in the family including other pets. If the dog seems like a good fit, he/she is brought to the home where the dog will be living to make sure it is an appropriate home....ie. dog friendly, fenced yard, etc. Finally, an adoption agreement is signed to insure that the adopter understands what is expected of them.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in foster homes prior to finding their forever homes. Please contact us if you see a dog you'd like to meet. We also participate in adoption events at local pet stores.
