Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Brie is an absolute darling! This little girl was rescued at a colony a few months ago and has flourished in her foster home. Brie has an exceptional personality and may be a little shy at first, but she gets over that quickly. She loves to be held and cuddled. Playtime is essential and she enjoys wrestling and chasing Kia, who is her foster playmate.
Brie was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). CH is a congenital condition where the Cerebellum in the brain is underdeveloped. CH is not painful, contagious or progressive (it does not worsen over time). It affects general motor skills and balance causing jerky, involuntary movements and tremors. There is no treatment for a cat with CH, but there are lots of options to make their lives easier. Cats with CH need to be kept strictly indoors. Soft beds placed on the floor near furniture will make for a softer landing when they fall, baby gates to prevent them from trying to take on steps, carpeting to give them traction and soft pet steps to help them get up to favorite furniture to name a few. Beyond that, they only require a good diet, yearly vet visits, lots of love and playtime like every other pet.
Brie is about 5 months old, spayed, up to date with yearly vaccinations and negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.
If you think your home is a good fit for Brie, please contact Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com
