My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I`m Penny. I`ve seen many sunrises and sunsets, each one as beautiful as the last. I`ve learned to appreciate the simple things in life, like the warmth of a sunbeam, the sound of a friendly voice, and the joy of a good nap. I`m not as spry as I once was, but that doesn`t mean I don`t have a lot of love to give. I`m a great listener, and I promise to always be there for you. I may be a senior, but I still have a lot of life left in me. I`m looking for a forever home where I can spend my golden years. Will you give me a chance to show you how much love a senior cat can give?

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
