My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Napoleon, a big-hearted, gentle soul who’s ready to fill your life with love and loyalty. At 60 pounds, he’s the perfect blend of size and snuggles, always happiest when he’s right by your side. Napoleon thrives on human companionship; if you’re there, he’s content, and his favorite thing to do is curl up for long naps knowing he’s safe and loved. He’s a naturally laid-back dog, never demanding, just hoping for some affection and a cozy spot beside you.

Napoleon’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. When he first arrived, his body was covered in scars and wounds, each telling a story of resilience and survival. Yet, despite his tough past, Napoleon’s heart remains as sweet as ever. He’s never vocal – I’ve only heard him bark once – and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those with playful personalities, who help him feel even more confident. In my home, he’s been a gentle companion around my three dogs, including two little toy-sized pups, and he’s shown nothing but patience and love toward my four-year-old. Although he does get anxious when left alone, he’s happiest when he has a furry friend nearby or a sturdy crate to help him feel secure. With his mellow personality, gentle nature, and honey-colored eyes,

Napoleon is a true testament to the power of love and kindness – and he’s ready to find his forever family.

More about this rescue

Bark About It Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based dog rescue. Our mission is to save dogs from urgent situations such as euthanasia lists, overcrowded shelters, and homelessness as well as to educate the public on the importance of spay and neuter. Our rescue is based in Pennsylvania, but we rescue dogs all over. Additionally to urgent cases, we also focus on helping long term shelter stay dogs.
