Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Greetings, fellow literature enthusiasts! My name is Shelby, and I`m a shy yet endearingly stubborn feline ready to curl up with you and explore the wonders of the written word. As a self-proclaimed bookworm, I spend my days nestled in cozy corners, patiently waiting for the next chapter of my adventure. While I may seem a bit reserved at first, I promise that once I warm up to you, you`ll discover a loyal and affectionate companion who loves nothing more than sharing a good story. So, if you`re looking for a furry friend to join you on your literary escapades, I`d be delighted to be your muse. How did I get here? Transferred from York County Animal Center where I was surrendered by my owner.
**I am currently living at the admission center - please fill out a survey and select a phone appointment to complete the adoption process. Once that process is complete, your adoption specialist will schedule a time for you to meet me in person! I have tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but the good news is I can still live a long normal cat life! Speak with an adoption specialist for more information.**
~My adoption fee is $65.00~

More about this rescue
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County is dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. Each year the SPCA rehomes over 3,500 animals through its innovative adoption programs.
The mission of the SPCA is to transform the lives of pets and people through protection, care, education, and adoption.
The SPCA of Wake County is a local, independent, non-profit organization that receives no government funding or tax dollars. We rely almost entirely on private donations to fund our annual operating budget of $3 million. The SPCA of Wake County is not affiliated with, nor do we receive funding from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
