Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please fill out an application at https://brokenheartsrescue.wixsite.com/mysite/general-6 NOT AT ADOPT A PET
Name: America
Age: approximately 1-2 years
Breed: DSH
Medical: Spayed, UTD shots
Needs: love, attention, toys, and enjoys her food
Meet America, a stunning tuxedo cat with a mostly laid-back personality but a love for playtime and attention. She can be a little demanding and has a tendency to grab you with her paws and pull your hand close if you aren't petting her. Her favorite pastimes include lounging on soft blankets, chasing flies, and having conversations with the other cats and dogs in her foster home. She'd thrive with a cozy cat tree to call her own. America adjusts to new surroundings quickly when she feels safe and would do well in a home with respectful kids, dogs, and other cats, given proper introductions. This sweet girl is looking for her perfect forever family.

We require all adopters to fill out our application to help determine if the dog/cat they are interested in will be a good fit.
2.
Meet the Pet
We require all people and dogs at the home to meet the dog they are wanting to adopt.
3.
Home Check
We do a home visit to talk to the family about the particular dog. We look to see where the dog will live and its a safe environment.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
We do an adoption contract once other steps have been approved. To transfer ownership of animal. Gives requirements on treatment of animals.
Additional adoption info
Our contract requires that the animal comes back to us if it does not work out, it requires the adopter to keep up on the medical and general care and health of the dog/cat.

We are a small non-profit 501(c)3 rescue located in Twin Falls, Idaho. We have been involved in rescue for 10+ years.
The need for animal rescue is great everywhere as anyone involved with rescue will tell you. The shelters are over crowded and the dogs and cats continue to poor in on a daily basis. We work with local and surrounding area shelters to help with the overcrowding, special needs, senior and unsocial animals that do not have a good chance at adoption in a shelter setting. We take some owner surrenders if we have a foster available and depending on the situation. Our priority is furkids at risk of euthanasia or needing special care.
