IDGSR Welcomes MIA into the safety of the rescue!!
THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT
**************
Hey Y'all! My name is Mia and I'm a beautifull 3yr old female Belgian Malinois. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport to my forever home!
Quick Facts:
Age - 3yrs old
Home - ideally a home with a fenced in yard, no apartment or condo
Kids - Fine with older kids (12+), no little kids
Dogs - Good with large males
Cats - NO cats
Training - needs EXPERIENCED owner & advanced training, extremely smart
1. I am a typical Malinois, I have a very very high energy level & need a job! I'm currently a bit underweight but don't you worry, my foster mom will put some pounds on me in no time!
2. I will need to be adopted by someone with prior Malinois or German Shepherd experience, no novice or first time adopters please.
3. I am super smart, I live up to my breed's reputation. I will learn anything you can teach me! I need to learn some standard obedience training and then I'd love to have a specific job! Training and working together will help us bond.
4. I am dog friendly & would do fine with older kids, ages 12+. I would love to have a friendly large male doggo to play with! You can see me playing with my friend Max in my video.
5. My big dreams include going on long walks, runs, or hikes, going on weekend adventures, riding in the car to get a Pup-Cup, and bonding to my forever person.
6. I love to follow my foster mom around and lean on her legs for some scratches. I can't wait to do the same with you!
7. If you are an experienced dog handler and are looking for an amazing, smart, loving, and active new bestie - I'm your girl!

More about this rescue
Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue started in 2011 rescuing German Shepherds and High Content Mixes from the Imminent Danger where they were sitting on Death Row in High Kill Animal Control Facilities in TN, NC, SC,KY, VA, GA & AL.Over 1000 Dogs lives have been spared and we've never worked so hard in our lives to save these wonderful kids. Our process from saving these kids includes 30 years of experience in working breed dogs. We conduct Safer Tests with all dogs to determine the abilities of the dogs so that we can match the right dog to the right family. We do not shove our dogs out the door. We do multiple videos of the dogs as well to our potential adopters. We disclose all positive and negative behavior traits so our adopters can work on any training the dog may need. IDGSR starts the rehabilitation and training with these wonderful kids and our adopters are part of the team of folks who help to ensure these kids will never suffer another day of hardship in their lives again. IDGSR will not take Aggressive Dogs into the Rescue.
If you have ever loved a German Shepherd then you will know where our hearts are to save these dogs from a certain death. It is our goal to save more but we need wonderful qualified families who want to save a life and welcome a new family member. We continue the work with our adopters even after adoption, we help with training and advice and counsel. IDGSR's staff look forward to hearing from you. Help us to find your new devoted and loyal best friend.
