My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Caleb and Charlie! These two precious, 14-week-old mixed-breed siblings have a story of resilience and sweetness. Each weighing in at 10 pounds, they’re expected to be medium-sized once fully grown. Caleb and Charlie came from a challenging beginning; their previous owner surrendered them to a high-kill shelter after deciding she had too many dogs. They were set for euthanasia, but fate had other plans! Now, these puppies are thriving and showing just how lovable they are! Caleb and Charlie are incredibly social and sweet. They love playing together, interacting with other dogs, and are wonderful with children. Whether they’re romping around or cuddling up for some quiet time, these two will bring joy to any family lucky enough to adopt one of them.

Charlie gives off big dog vibes in a little dog body. He is energetic and athletic and has a medium length coat.  He is doing well with learning to walk on a leash  and going outside to the bathroom. He isn’t a barker and is able to settle down next to you after some playtime.  He does well with children, other dogs, and cats.

Could your home be the happy ending they’ve been waiting for? Apply at bcaaofnj.org

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.
