Lucy is an 8 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd. Our family adopted her at 6 weeks old to be a Livestock Guardian and protect our chickens. She’s been around them since she was a puppy and does great with them. She sits outside and watches over them all day, but does come in at night to sleep. She’s used to other dogs (we had 2 Labradors who have passed) and cats.
As much as she is a livestock guardian, she’s also our family pet, and loves to be where we are. We’d love for her to go to a home where she can just be loved on, sleep inside at night, and be included with the family.
She’s Invisible Fence trained, and great on a leash. She is stubborn, as all Pyrenees are, but she is the sweetest, most gentle dog we’ve ever had.
