My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Axel is a 5.5 year, 80lh, neutered male doberman. He is very sweet and is good with dogs, cats and kids. Axel lives to cuddle, go for walks and play fetch. He is an exuberant player outside with other dogs. Axel came with very thin hair, which is likely due to diet and being a fawn color, he is in a fish based diet and some supplements for that. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please submit an application to www.journeyanimalrescue.org. Adoption donation is 450. Only once your adoption application is approved, will a meet and greet be scheduled in Fryeburg, ME with you and all your canine and human family members.

Additional adoption info

We have an extensive application which must be filled out and approved, prior to anyone being able to meet the animal they are interested in. We reserve the right to deny any application we feel is not the appropriate fit for the animal. We require home visits, veterinary reference and that all members of the family travel to meet the animal they are interested in adopting. Adoption fee is $425. We do have an adoption contract.

More about this rescue

We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing domestic
animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their
former owners. Our belief is that animals are sentient beings who are not
merely "pets" but family members and strive to find them homes who share
this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where
they receive veterinary care, socialization, excercise, love and good
nutrition until their forever home can be found. Our goal is to find
successful placements so we strive to fit the breed, temperament and
individual needs of the animals with their potential adopters. Animals
will be kept with us for as long as it takes to find the perfect home for
them. Our group does not discriminate against animals based on breed or
physical disability.
