My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Man is all of 9 pds. Pulled from a high kill shelter, he has been adapting very well. He is getting along with 8 dogs, altho all female. He is a quiet little man, does seem to want the company of people. He does not need another dog for company, he has not wanted to play with any of the girls. He does not know how to jump or do steps. He walks well on lead, Has not marked, seems to be housebroken. He also accepts being in a crate.
Will see how he unfolds in the next week, but for now I see a quiet biddable little guy getting used to routine without any fuss. Currently fostered in Bradenton. He is neutered, up to date on shots and HW negative. I would not recommend toddlers and he does at this point need a fenced yard.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
