  Meet Porsche, A Survivor in Need of a Fresh Start   

Porsche’s story is heartbreaking, but her future doesn’t have to be. Once a cute little puppy, Porsche’s owner stopped caring for her as soon as she wasn’t “cute or little” anymore. She was tied up 24/7, never taken to a vet, never fixed or vaccinated, and left without food or water for days at a time. She endured abuse and neglect, had two litters of puppies on a short chain, and was in constant fear of being harmed.

Thankfully, our Rescue Partners stepped in to save her, just as her landlord began threatening to “get rid” of her and her puppies. Despite the odds, Porsche was rescued and we agreed to take her in. Unfortunately, Porsche gave birth to 6 puppies right before her flight, delaying the process. Due to the CDC ban, we are unable to take the puppies until they are six months of age. We were hoping to get Porsche here before she gave birth to give everyone a fighting chance.

Now in foster care, Porsche is learning to trust again, despite everything she’s been through, Porsche is a sweet girl who just wants to be loved, to run and play, and to live a life free from fear.

  Porsche deserves a second chance. Let’s help her find a forever home where she can thrive!

More about this rescue

Save the Satos Inc. is a non-profit, registered 501c3 organization which is focused on changing the lives of the stray dogs (known to the locals as Satos) of Puerto Rico. We rescue the unwanted dogs of the island, and transport them to NJ where they are placed in loving foster homes. The Satos are made happy and healthy, socialized, spayed/neutered and put up for adoption to find their forever home.

Save the Satos also focuses on helping pet owners in Puerto Rico by providing food, shelter, spay/neuter, flea/tick/heart worm prevention, vaccines and veterinary care to families in need.
