My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Basil !!

I love being around people. I need to run, play and walk several times a day because I have an energetic personality. I am still learning to be social with other dogs but always want to play with them. My fosters are working on crate training and good leash manners. I am highly motivated to learn when treats are involved and we're working on eye contact when I need to settle down. I haven't mastered the art of being comfortable alone yet, so there is some whining and crying. I need a couple chew toys around me at all times so I don't get bored. Belly rubs are always welcome and sometimes I think I'm a lap dog and want to be as close as possible for snuggles and kisses. When the doorbell rings I'm all about greeting everyone with a wagging tail but need to learn not to jump. I don't bark often but when I do people certainly know I'm there. I let my fosters know I have to go out by standing by the back door. I'm always down to snuggle and like it best when my foster mom lets me sleep right beside her.

HOME REQUIREMENTS

-EXPERIENCED HOME
- HOME WITH A YARD ( NO APARTMENTS PLEASE)
- KIDS OVER THE AGE OF 8 OR DOG SAVVY
-He is vocal on leash when he sees another dog or human. He wants to meet everyone, he will jump but nothing aggressive.

Application, reference checks, home visits, and then a meeting or more before adoption. We DO charge an adoption fee. Our dogs are not Free!
All dogs are:
*spayed/neutered
*vaccinated DHPP+Rabies
*dewormed
*microchipped
*start flea prevention (during flea season)
*of course take care of medical issues/surgeries as needed
* Our dogs are loved in foster homes in the GTA and Surrounding area

We do not adopt out intact dogs so do not ask!

More about this rescue

We rescue mainly Bulldogs and other flat faced dogs!!!! We love the breeds and know they sometimes need extra care and love. Before you consider any of these breeds you should get familiar with the terms; cherry eye, entropian, dry eye, heat stroke, bloat, cruciate and know that sometimes these breeds can develop or have these issues. Also remember they drool, snore, pass gas and breath heavy this is not for everyone, but for us it is normal!
