My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rocky Jr., a playful and affectionate young fella looking for his forever home! He's patient when it comes to leashing, sniffing the leash first before he's ready to go. Once out, Rocky Jr. showcases his silly personality with toe taps and cuddles!

Rocky Jr. takes treats gently and knows how to "sit." He's a social boy who loves to follow his humans around, eagerly seeking attention and affection. With lots of playful energy and zoomies to spare, Rocky Jr. is ready to bring joy and fun to a loving home!

Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Rocky Jr at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering him.

Behavioral:
Per volunteer 11/9: Rocky Jr is a happy boy who looked forward to getting out of his kennel! He was very interested in exploring his surroundings and sniffing around the yard!

10/29/24 volunteer notes: Very affectionate boy that loved being petted. Also loves sniffing! Very attracted to other dogs and it appeared like it would be a friendly interaction based on his body language.

Per staff 10/28: BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: Rocky Jr.

KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray- Police pickup

KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Rocky Jr. was on the backside of kennel and was greeting another staff member. He came over with mid level wags, soft eyes, and a relaxed body. For leashing he sniffed the leash and was very patient. Once secured he came right out.

LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls moderately

HANDLING:
In the eval room, Rocky Jr was very social and friendly. Warming up to some cue toe taps, cuddles and getting some nice rubs. He can get a bit over stimulated with ooty scratches and gets a bit mouthy, vocal grunting, and frustrated. He allowed all handling and remained loose and wiggly. He takes treats gently and knows how to sit. He is very affectionate and a playful boy. Everytime another staff member entered the room, he followed them around until they said hi to him.

PLAY
Engages in play - lots of zooms
