Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Zelda and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m 6 months old and I weigh 15 pounds. I’m a happy, playful, curious and cuddly puppy. I was born in foster care after my mama was released by a commercial breeder. Once I was weaned, I came to my current foster home here in Chicago. I like it here! There is another dog here and we are pals. We play and cuddle and chase each other – and even eat and drink out of the same bowl. I haven’t lived with any cats or small pets, but like chasing bunnies and squirrels outside, so I’m not sure if small pets are a good match. I love people, though! I haven’t met any little kids, but my foster mom thinks I’d do fine. I’m a good girl. I don’t get into trouble and foster mom can trust me in the house unsupervised. I’m doing really good with potty training. Since I’m still a growing puppy, I go out on a regular schedule. If foster mom waits too long, I might have an accident, but that should end as I get older. I love going for leash walks, especially when it’s quiet. Big noises scare me, like garbage trucks and air conditioners, and then I pull really hard on the leash to get away from the noise. My ideal home would be someplace that isn’t too busy or noisy. Foster mom thinks I’d love having a securely fenced yard to play in – maybe with another dog to be my friend. Even though I can be cautious and skittish, I love learning and exploring and meeting new people. I am a healthy girl – healing nicely from my spay surgery and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you live in the Midwest and are interested in a cute, friendly, snuggle-buddy like me, visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA learn more about you and your home environment so they can make sure we’ll be a good match. Once approved, SIRA will connect you with my foster mom so we can meet! I can’t wait!!
