Here's what the humans have to say about me:
East is an absolute beauty, no doubt about it—and she’s also a gentle soul. Initially shy, with a little time and patience, she’ll warm up and do something many cats won’t—roll over and offer her silken belly for pets, while she purrs contentedly and snuggles close to you in bed. Nurturing her as she acclimates to her new home and new human(s) will definitely be worth the wait, because once she’s comfortable, you’ll gain a best friend for life.
East, believe it or not, is not a big fan of treats (maybe you will crack the code), but she does love to chat and will happily communicate her needs—especially when it comes to her favorite pâté! A playful spirit, East is always ready to have fun, whether it’s with a laser toy, some little plush mice, or a feathery wand—you name it, she’ll bat and toss, and run and engage with you and her feline bestie and dad, Kurama. Sunbathing and being brushed are also high on East’s list of favorite things. Her charming personality is enhanced by her cute quirks, like striking a pose to show off her beauty and enjoying little pats on her bootie as she purrs with pleasure.
East must be adopted with her best feline friend and father, Kurama. Together they are a dynamic duo that balance each other perfectly. Kurama’s confidence helps shy East come out of her shell, and he always stays close to her, helping her become more trusting more quickly than if she were on her own. Somehow, he also knows when East is hungry and will ask for food just for her, thanking you in his own cute way. This pair will bring warmth, laughter, and endless cuddles to your life and home. If you’re looking for a pair of sweet, fun-loving purring machines, look no further! Plus, what an amazing pair—father and daughter.
East is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and a perfect litter box user.

Our cats are almost all in foster homes. Upon approval of your application (including reference check), we will connect you with the foster parent(s) so that you can meet the kitty you're interested in. If it's a good fit, we'll do a home check for safety issues, and then process the paperwork so that you can officially adopt your new family member!

More about this rescue
We are a network of rescuers in Central Brooklyn (primarily in Bed Stuy, Ocean Hill, and Crown Heights) who help each other out. We do both TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as the rescue and adoption of friendly cats and kittens that we find on the streets. We don't have a physical facility, so our cats are usually in foster homes, or staying with us in our own homes. Our goal is to find loving, permanent homes for all the cats we take off the street, and to make better lives for the ones we return there.
