My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thackery, a lively and tenderhearted puppy who is currently residing in a shelter. Despite his shy nature, Thackery is bursting with youthful energy, always ready for a new adventure or game. His sweetness is evident in his gentle interactions with other animals and his patient demeanor during training sessions. Thackery`s shy but energetic personality makes him an excellent companion for those seeking a friend to brighten up their days. His sweet nature makes him a perfect fit for families with children or other pets. Thackery is more than just a shelter pet; he`s a bundle of joy waiting to bring happiness into his forever home. Why adopt Thackery? Because every home deserves a touch of sweetness and a burst of energy that only he can provide.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
