My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

REHOME - Xayah is a wonderful 6-year-old dog! She is an EXTREMELY cuddly and loving dog. She is also incredibly loyal, playful, and a couch potato at the same time! Xayah does get anxiety around strangers and could benefit from some training to help her with this. She loves human connection but needs to be confident that they are safe people first. Unfortunately, her current owner is going through a divorce and moving back to her home state for family support. For this reason, she is unable to take Xayah with her. To learn more about Xayah, please contact EMILY CLEAR at (360) 862-5600 or via email at emilyclear2@gmail.com. Xayah is currently located in Ocala, FL.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to make the adoption process as thorough and easy as possible. If you are interested in adopting a dog, the first thing we will ask you to do is complete our online Adoption Application. Upon review of your application, a decision to approve or decline will be made. If approved, we will schedule a time for your to meet the dog you are interested in adopting. If there is a match, a home visit will be conducted before the final adoption decision is made. Once the final approval is made, an Adoption Agreement is signed and the adoption is complete.

More about this rescue

Happy Tails Dog Rescue is a foster-based registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, vetting, and rehoming dogs from kill shelters in Southern Florida. We are a husband and wife team, together with a small team of volunteers who rescue, vet dogs, and rehome dogs who are about to be euthanized. It is our goal to provide the necessary veterinary care, grooming, and attention they may need to ultimately place them in forever homes.
