Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This happy boy is Odie 💙
He wasn’t in the best condition when we got him, but despite that, he can’t stop smiling and wanting to give everyone at his foster home affection. He loves the resident boys, and adores the resident Golden who is showing him around ❤️
Odie is 5 years old and currently only weighs 14 lbs (needs to gain a few pounds). Odie looks like a miniature golden, but we actually have his dna results (in the comments) and he’s mainly miniature poodle with some Pekingese, Terrier, Cocker Spaniel and Schnauzer. ❤️
Odie loves playing with the resident pups, running in the backyard, going on nice walks and chilling with his people.
He is potty and crate trained, and sleeps perfectly cuddled up on the bed at night with his people ❤️
Sweet Odie had a deep dental cleaning this week and had all of his vaccinations updated (heartworm test was negative). 💙
If you think Odie would be a perfect addition to your family, please submit an application!
Adoption Application can be found at:
https://lonestarunderdogs.com/adoption-application-1
Adoption fee of $295 includes capstar, neuter, microchip, dewormings, dhlpp shot, rabies vaccination, bordetella nose spray, heart worm test, first month of heartworm/flea preventative (dependent on age) and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption.

More about this rescue
We are a 501c3 rescue located near Dallas, TX. We rescue pups from high kill/overcrowded shelters around the DFW area and also take in dumped dogs, strays and owner surrenders. We provide all of them with necessary veterinary care and then place them into loving foster homes until the perfect furever home is found for them (we do not have a boarding facility).
We will also educate the community on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals, along with other necessary annual vaccines and monthly heartworm and flea preventatives. This will include providing low cost/no cost locations around the area that they can utilize.
