Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please share Tyler to help him find a home!
Tyler, the super cute, adorable little schnauzer mix, is still looking for his home. This should surprise exactly none of us, given Tyler's attitude. It's not great, folks. He's kind of a pain in the behind, really, in that he's not likely to give you the time of day. Don't expect to be able to pet this guy. Oh no. You can feed him the best premium food, provide Perrier bottled water, give him a deluxe heated and cooled place to sleep, even an imported European treat or two. BUT DON'T YOU TRY TO PET TYLER. His months on the lam in Beloit, Kansas, made an impression on him: people are not to be trusted, and that includes you, whoever you are.
On a positive note, because we are glass-half-full type of people, Tyler really, truly does like his dog friends, and most of them like him back. In fact, we insist that he has a dog friend in his new home. And we think he has the potential to maybe eventually like humans. He is making progress on leash, so there's that.
If you're willing to completely ignore him long enough, possibly, there's a chance, you might be able to someday . . . touch Tyler?
Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you'd like to learn more about Tyler. He's in Beloit, Kansas, at The Sanctuary with The Pet Connection. But don't worry, transport is available to bring Tyler to his new home!

Since 1999, The Pet Connection has found homes for more than 7,000 animals and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs and cats with aggression, fear and anxiety issues. We have spayed or neutered over 8,000 dogs and cats in our own free and low-cost clinics since 2002 and assisted another 5,800 pets with low-cost services since 2006. The Pet Connection was founded in 1999 in Mission, Kansas, to offer shelter for homeless pets, adoptions and training. We were one of the first no-kill advocacy groups in the Kansas City metro area and the first cage-free facility in Johnson County to offer education about available spay and neuter programs. In 2006, The Pet Connection relocated to a facility in Mission that enabled all dogs and cats to have their own rooms while awaiting adoptive homes or being rehabilitated due to behaviors that hindered adoption prospects. The Pet Connection currently focuses on pet adoptions, dog and cat training, aggressive dog rehabilitation, and classes for pet owners. We were the first in this area to offer free training/behavior classes to adopters.
The Pet Connection trainers and behavior members use a team approach in order to implement the ideas that have the highest success rate. Our five behavioral trainers working out of the Kansas City metro have a variety of backgrounds applicable to dog training and behavior. The Pet Connection implements positive reinforcement training methods, where the dog learns to face the trigger, but to respond appropriately. Read about our experienced trainers under “Meet the Team" on our website at www.thepetconnection.net.
The Pet Connection has always been committed to being no-kill advocates. We have been involved in many projects with local and national organizations to help Kansas City progress in how homeless pets are cared for and to improve the services that they receive. Our organization is a 501c3 charity in the state of Kansas, and has always provided thousands of dollars worth of supplies, including cat litter, food, toys, beds and dog houses, to other rescues and shelters.
