Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dove is just a pint-sized shepherd girl looking for love. She is the type that hugs when she first meets you, really, she gives hugs! I have no idea how a dog learns that but she did it enough times when meeting new people we know it was not an accident. She has a visibly happy face that just exudes silly sweetness, and she is a water-lover! That always feels like a cherry on-top. Take a look at her in action then come back to read more about Dove.

Dove is estimated to be 1 year old, weighs 48 lbs and is possibly a German shepherd/ lab mix but in we cannot guarantee age or breed and offer them as educated observations. We believe she is full grown which if so would make her an adorable mid-size shepherd.
We have introduced Dove to a variety of dogs and she has consistently been very friendly and welcoming. Her friendliness is not for every dog, the older or more aloof/happy-alone types don’t enjoy her confident approach to play but she is a favorite among the happy-go-lucky, run and chase types. This is a dog that would be an amazing playmate if you are in search of a companion for you current dog. She is meant for the +1 life. Add in that she loves water and you have a winner!
Dove absolutely adores people and is a friend from the start. She would do great in a home with another dog To round out her friendly nature she was respectful when she met our house cat Tom, curious but not pushy and she gave him space without attempting to chase or pursue him. From what we have observed, she could live with a feline friend.
Her size and personality would make her a great apartment/condo girlie as long as she was constantly given time to play, exercise and socialize. Of course if you have a yard, she is ready to explore it and find her favorite sun-spot for mid-day naps. An ideal home can look like a lot of things with Dove, she is ready to fit right in and thanks to her age, ready to learn!
On top of being a little cutie, she is sweet, smart, loyal and friendly.
If you have any questions about Dove or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
