Third Coast Pets Alive!
This shy boy and his sister were the last surviving stray kittens of their litter (dogs had killed the rest
).
The people nearby got them vaccinated & neutered, and the rescue took them when they were 8 -10 weeks old.
He was, understandably, untrusting of humans at first, but has already come very far in just a few short week! He enjoys butt scratches when he's in the crate (his safe place) which is at eye level.
He loves playing with the other cats, and he will interact with you if you use wand toys (his favorite), or any toy that makes noise.
He is still scared to be picked up from the ground, but with some time and patience he will definitely improve.
He'll probably never be a super snuggly cat, but he sure can purr when you're scratching the right spot! His best friend Sia (female kitten that's about 2 months older), has really helped to build his confidence. He is bonded to her at the moment, and if they could be adopted together, that would be ideal. (She is the friendliest cat ever, not scared of anyone and loves attention of any kind.)
Oh and he's learned that not all dogs are mean, as he is coexisting with his foster family's pugs quite well.
