Dracula is a 1 1/2 year old Corgi x Yorkie mix who is ready to sink into his forever home! Dracula was rescued from a home where he wasn’t given the time and love he needed. One of our amazing volunteers jumped into action and drove over to save him. Rescue takes a village and when everyone pitches in we can make miracles happen! Dracula weighs 15 pounds and has the softest fur in the world. This handsome guy is brimming with love and excitement for the world around him and he can’t wait to find his castle! If you’re ready for a themed family costume this Halloween, meet Dracula and life will be fang-tastic!

Dracula is a handsome and affectionate gentleman who bewitches everyone who meets him into falling in love with him. Despite his rocky start, he’s shown so much trust and faith in his people. He loves attention and loves rolling onto his back for lots of cuddles and snuggles. Dracula loves zooming around the yard after his toys, occasionally stopping to pose for a camera (it’s hard to resist the desire to fill your camera roll with him). He would be an awesome companion for walks, hikes, trips to run errands, or just about anything else you can think of. He just wants to be part of the action and be with his people. Dracula would be an amazing WFH buddy as he is happy to chill when you need him to. Just give him a soft bed or a couch and he’s content until you’re ready for a new activity. Dracula loves sitting on laps and being pet, you’ll fall in love as your hand sinks into his soft hair. We imagine Dracula in his dream forever home waking up to cuddles in bed followed by a yummy breakfast and then a day with his family. Sometimes man’s best friend is actually a dog vampire, who would’ve thought?

Dracula starts his morning at 7 AM when his foster mom lets him out of his crate and takes him outside with the resident dogs. Once he’s done his business, he comes inside for breakfast followed by a morning nap. His foster dad works from home so he hangs out in the office on his dog bed as he keeps an eye on the daily activities. Dracula gets a little treat at lunch when a break from work happens and then gets some activity out in the yard before settling down for some toy time. He works on his leash walking skills in the early evening as he joins the family on a walk. Dinner is at 7 PM followed by a scary movie marathon on the couch. He goes out once more and then heads to his crate at 10 PM.

Dracula gets along well with dogs of all ages and sizes. He loves to play and would be a fabulous companion for a resident dog. Dracula prefers a calm introduction to new people so he can sniff them out (no garlic) but once he knows you, he’s ready to love on you. Dracula is still very much a puppy at heart so he will benefit from additional training and socialization with his forever family. The world is new to him but he has the spirit of the wild inside of him, that’s for sure! He has so much to give the world and we can’t wait to see the mark he makes on his forever home. If you’re ready for the cutest little furry vampire, meet Dracula!

Dracula is an option for just about any home, regardless of prior dog owning experience. Kids should be over the age of 8.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
