Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shitake is a 6-month-old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!
Meet Shitake! Shiitake is a very sweet, happy kitten who is always purring. He initially came to the shelter as a very shy boy but has made great improvements in just a short time after going into a loving foster home! He enjoys running around, playing with his toys, being snuggled and petted, eating (he is not picky!), and lying in comfy places. He will even seek out attention from his favorite people for extra pets and snuggles!
In his foster home, he has done well with the two small dogs in the house, often laying near them on the couch and bed. So, we think he should do great with other furry friends in his new home as well given slow and proper introductions to one another. He should also do great with respectful kids of any age with parental supervision and guidance - at least until he is settled in.
And while Shitake isn't required to go to a home with another cat, most reserved kittens settle in much quicker with another feline friend right by their side. And he has shown us that he LOVES playing, snuggling, and getting into a bit of mischief with any feline friends he encounters!
If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and emailing it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print it and drop it off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application
