Meet Dobby, the gentle soul who’s ready to bring warmth and loyalty to a loving home! Dobby has a calm and quiet presence that makes him an absolute joy to be around. Though he’s a bit shy initially, he’ll become your devoted shadow with just a bit of patience.

Dobby’s journey to us started after he was found injured in someone’s yard. Thankfully, he healed beautifully, and now he’s ready to start a new chapter. He’s been my office buddy here at the shelter, and he quickly went from a quiet observer to a loving, loyal friend. Day by day, he’s blossomed—from sitting quietly by my side to following me up and down the halls, even napping under my desk.

This sweet boy is potty trained and happy to learn a new routine. Dobby does well with kids and women and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to show him the ropes. While he can be a bit fearful of men, he builds trust as long as he’s given patience and understanding. Once he feels secure, he’ll be your quiet, loyal friend, ready to share life’s gentle moments by your side.

If you’d like to meet Dobby, please fill out an application and his foster family will reach out to you—he’s waiting to find his forever family!

More about this rescue

Arizona Small Dog Rescue is a non profit registered 501(c)3 no kill rescue shelter. We are a group of volunteers who have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused small dogs. We save most of our animals from kill shelters around the valley, but also accept owner surrenders and stray surrenders. Owner surrender fee’s vary depending on space and availability. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, medically examine, microchip, and evaluate and/or socialize all dogs that come into our rescue before placing up for adoption to pre-screened homes. We rescue many dogs every week and always have a wide variety of personalities and breeds available who would be a perfect fit for any family and any home.
