This little dude is named Chikis and he’s ready for adoption!
~ AGE: 3 years
~ GENDER: Male
~ WEIGHT: 9 lbs.
~ BREED: Chihuahua mix
~ GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes!
~ GOOD WITH CATS: Yes, with proper introductions.
~ GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes!
~ PERSONALITY: Chikis is confident and outgoing, happy to be introduced to new people and places. For the past year, he has lived with a foster family in Jalisco, Mexico. He lives with many other dogs and meets many new visitors, which has made him comfortable with changes in his environment and quick to make friends. Chikis would do well as a second dog as he brings a positive balance to the pack. He is also very affectionate, but independent at the same time, not demanding of attention.
~ HOUSE TRAINED: Yes, Chikis is a smart little guy, very familiar with the household routines, including doing his business outside.
~ ENERGY LEVEL: Moderate. He enjoys exploring on walks and playing at home, but he does not need heavy duty exercise.
~ GOOD ON LEASH: Yes.
~ GOOD IN CAR: Yes.
~ANY AGGRESSION: Chikis has never shown aggressive behaviour or resource guarding.
~ BARKING: He will alert you when he senses someone or something, such as somebody knocking at the door.
~ SLEEP: Chikis sleeps on his blanket in the main living area of the house, along with the other dogs. He is crate trained but prefers to sleep without a crate.
~ RESCUE HISTORY: Chikis was rescued from the streets on the outskirts of Guadalajara. He was found wandering all alone, in search of food and shelter. He has since been living with a foster family, awaiting his happily ever after. We have no doubt this little guy will be a fantastic addition to almost any household.
VETTING:
Fully vaccinated.
Neutered.
Dewormed.
SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Distemper negative.
