My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet adoptable Rocky!

Rocky has already experienced two heartbreaks in his life, but he still believes in happy endings! His first owner abandoned him at a park, leaving him tied to a tree in Guadalajara city. His second owner fell very ill and had to surrender Rocky, so Rocky lost his home for a second time. But we believe “third time’s a charm” and this time, Rocky's will find his forever family.

Rocky is 1½ years old and fully grown at 46 lbs. He’s a unique mixed breed beauty from Guadalajara, Mexico. Although his exact genetics are unknown, he has physical features of an English Pointer, Catahoula Leopard Dog, and Pit Bull terrier.

Rocky currently lives with a foster family in the Lake Chapala area of Mexico. This being his third home, Rocky is very accustomed to the ins & outs of a household environment. He has his daily routine down pat and he’s fully house trained. He’s a well-behaved gentleman, a keen listener, and will do just about anything for treats! His friendliness and charisma extends to both adults and kids.

Rocky loves the company of other dogs, especially those who reciprocate his playfulness. He lives with many doggy siblings at his foster home and gets along splendidly with all of them. They play together, nap together, walk together, and line up for treats together! Rocky would absolutely love another dog (or two!) at his future home.

He does not have experience with cats or small critters.

Being a young, vibrant dog, Rocky finds ultimate joy in outdoor activities. We call him the “fearless four-legged adventurer” because he’s always the first in line for outdoor fun! Rocky enjoys running around at the park, exploring nature trails, and accompanying his humans for walks, hikes or jogs. He also has a passion for toys and will play joyfully with any toy you offer. With his boundless enthusiasm and fun-loving spirit, Rocky is the perfect companion for those seeking excitement and adventure in their daily lives.

If you're looking for a family-friendly, happy-go-lucky dog with a zest for life, Rocky could be your guy! Let’s help this sweet boy find the home he so deserves - with a family to call his own forever.
