My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet pup is named Glass! She's ready for adoption and so very deserving of a FURever home.

~ AGE: 9 months

~ GENDER: Female

~ WEIGHT: 22 lbs.

~ BREED: Whippet mix

~ GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes!

~ GOOD WITH CATS: Yes!

~ GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes!

Glass and her siblings were rescued when they were just 1 month old. They were found abandoned on the outskirts of Guadalajara. Our rescue partners took the puppies into their care as soon as they heard of the situation. Fortunately for Glass, she was rescued at a young age, before enduring any trauma or suffering on the streets.

Glass is now staying in boarding at the veterinary clinic in Chapala, Mexico. She spends her days with other dogs, as well as kitties, plus the staff and members of the rescue group. Although she is not in a “home” setting, she picked up the rules & routines of the facility very quickly. She knows where to do her business, where to go for bedtime, and how to mind her manners around the other animals.

Glass is also crate trained (sleeps in her crate at night) and comfortable walking on leash. She’s always eager to learn new things and make her caretakers proud - she has shown everyone that she’s quite the smart cookie!

Like a typical puppy, Glass is playful, goofy, and curious of her surroundings. She enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities (trails, parks, hikes) and has fun bouncing around with her toys! Glass is great with other dogs, always happy to join in playtime with canine pals. She is also accustomed to living with cats, as there are many kitties at her boarding facility.

When meeting new people, Glass is initially shy and reserved. But with some time and reassurance, her loving, affectionate, cheerful nature shines. She has touched the hearts of everyone who cares for her because she really just wants to feel loved and belong somewhere. She longs for a forever home with a family of her own.

Glass would love a home where she can take her time to settle in, build trust, and allow her sweet personality to blossom. She’d be great in a home with dogs, cats, and kids age 8+. We think she’d love a doggie sibling who could show her the ropes and spend time playing with her. She’ll also be a wonderful match for someone who enjoys outdoor activities.

Could you be the one to give this special girl a chance to show her true sparkle? Glass is such a kind-hearted dog, and once she gets over her initial shyness, she’ll shower you with unconditional love & loyalty.
