Are his ears "show stoppers" or what! Merlin got his name because he "magically" appeared in his foster's fenced yard. (He is also known as Radar ... because of those amazing ears!) He is a handsome, possibly Husky mix. He was born late June and currently weighs approximately 40 pounds, so will likely be around 45-50 lbs when grown. He is potty trained (& can use a dog door) and crate trained. He is very loving and cuddly, very velcro. He loves to snuggle (and sometimes forgets he is no longer a little tyke!) He's also very playful. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play. He's also very smart, so will not do well if left alone for long periods of time. You want to test your training skills (with love), then he might be the perfect candidate.
Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more) - not just until his puppy cuteness wears off.
You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most puppies, he may chew on anything within his reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, plants, etc.
His adoption fee is $200. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar.
Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.
Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.
