This helps Cody's Friends Rescue with pet care costs.
Suki is 4 years old and weighs 55 lbs. Her owner is entering the military and needed to find her a new home. She is very loving and intelligent. She is friendly and she loves to give cuddles and kisses. She picks up on tricks quickly and already knows how to shake. She is crate trained and housebroken. She loves to swim and go on hikes when the weather is cool enough.
Suki loves playing with other dogs outside, but inside it will take time for her to decompress and adjust to having another dog around. She is reactive if another dog comes up behind her or head on in an enclosed space (like entering and exiting though a door, in a hallway, etc). She prefers to dine alone and eats well in her crate. As an only dog it would be an easy transition for her, but if you have another dog it will take time and likely the support of a trainer (Cody's has suggestions) to help her adjust. She does well on a dog friendly patio and is not reactive to dogs while on walks. Her owner was able to bring her to dog parks in the past with no issues.
Suki has been though so many changes in the past few months and it's our goal to find her a loving home to call her own as soon as possible.
