If you are looking for the pyrfect dog to join your crew, you may be in luck, as Apollo is reviewing all applications to be his furever family! This young, handsome boy is truly a pyrfect gentleman - not only does Apollo have the cutest face that will make anyone smile, but he also has the bestest pyrsonality. Apollo has mastered some basic cues in no time, and he is always more than eager to show off his skills in exchange for some kisses and head scratches. He is crate trained, walks well on leash, and will sit and shake hands! This young boy immediately falls in love with everyone he meets (animals and humans alike!), and takes them under his wing - ahem - I meant, paw. Other pups? - Yep! Cats? - Yeah, why not?! Children? - Apollo is the pyrfect gentle giant! While Apollo takes his role as a guardian very seriously, he is able to fulfill his responsibilities with the calmest demeanor. He is low-energy, laid-back, and confident. No digging or barking from his big boy! He prefers to be outdoors, unless it’s raining, so a 6’ fenced-in yard would be ideal. We are pawsitive that Apollo will thrive in a loving home where he will be adored and cherished. He’d love an active family that has other animals. If you open your heart and your home to this wonderful boy, we have no doubt Apollo will bring you so much joy and happiness that you didn't even know you were missing!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQfor an application and information about our fostering program.
If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page.
