Flareon is an 4-month-old, 3-pound male kitten from the NYCACC.
Flareon was diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). CH is a developmental condition which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. The cerebellum is the portion of the brain that controls fine motor skills, balance, and coordination. This gives him a quirky wobble to his walk but doesn't inhibit him from fully exploring your space and loving play and attention. CH is not curable, progressive (meaning it won't get any better or worse), or painful, and it won’t hold him back from being a lovable kitty.
Flareon is an all-around lover boy. Wobbly as he may be, he ADORES affection, snuggles, and kisses. He enjoys being tucked into the armpit or any general crevice of whoever is willing to show him affection and he will fall asleep in your arms regardless of time of day.
His physical disability does not keep him from playing and having fun and he often leaps for his toys and absolutely loves playtime. He’s also a very happy boy who loves to purr and meow while he eats his breakfast & dinner. He also has bunny ears, which just adds to his cuteness. :)
Vaccinated for FVRCP. FeLV / FIV negative and microchipped. Needs neuter and rabies when of age and weight.
To apply for Flareon, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.
Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue.
