My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Interstellar, a shorthair panther boy with one charming white eyebrow (whisker) and the sleekest, softest fur. At 7 months-old I am playful, athletic and full of curiosity. I was born a barn kitty in Kansas, where some truly caring people watched over me and eventually brought me to Wild Blue for a chance at the house cat life. I was very nervous at first and I still have some shyness to work through, but I've discovered that I love calm human attention. I really love the toys and the treats they want to share with me. My favorites are feathery, jingly wands and the tower with the spinning balls. I startle at noises and fast movements, so a home without dogs, young children, or lots of people is needed. I do love gentle older kids and adults. When I need a place to reset and relax, I look for a comforting cat bed set in a high place or an open shelf on a cat tree. Once I know you're safe I will come seeking pets or the occasional rubs along your legs. When I really start to trust, I enjoy hopping onto the couch or bed close to you. This often evolves into purry lap time or a session where I groom your hands. I enjoy the company of other friendly cats and would love to be adopted with one of my siblings Ibrahim, Insight or Integra. The thing I enjoy most is food. I am so highly food motivated that I'm prone to sneaking food, and sometimes food wrappers, when I know I shouldn't. I need a family that is willing to help me manage my hunger in a healthy and kind way, and that sees the potential in my passion. For example, I'm already a master at some of the feeding toys and puzzles at my foster home. I am great with the litter box and scratchers. I'm nervous, but capable of carrier rides and careful claw trimming. Wild Blue has taken care of my neuter surgery, early vaccines and negative FELV test. I still have some things to learn about living with humans, so I need a family that is committed to patiently working at my pace. Believe that I am absolutely lovable and worth the effort, so please fill out an application and schedule a visit with me soon.November 6, 2024, 8:14 pm
