My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

I’m The Great Bambino. I’m a 7-month-old male lab mix, I’m on the small side weighing about 29 lbs.

Look into my eyes. Aren’t I just so cute? I think so. You wouldn’t know it from our first introduction but I’m an absolute goofball. I love to run and be outside! I’m a little shy at first so slow introductions are best. My foster family has kids big and small and I’m great with everyone. I would absolutely love to have a big backyard to run and play in, because I have a lot of energy. I’m your typical lab puppy, playful and clumsy. Along with a yard to play in, I would love to have another dog to play with. My foster brother and I get along great! Having another dog in the house to show me the ropes would help me to become more comfortable with my new home.  My foster family has an outdoor, dog savvy cat. I’d like to say we are great friends, but I might try to play or chase with any cat that doesn’t show me who’s boss. I love walks and they are a good way to tire me out before I go into my crate. I walk well on leash, and I need a family who would be able to walk me at least once a day and continue my training as I have spent most of my short life in a shelter and still learning about the outside world.

I would climb into your lap and lick you all day if I could but lying next to you while you’re working or watching TV is fine too. If you go out of the room for one second you can expect to come back and see my tail wagging and my butt wiggling.

I guess I should mention that I’m 100% potty trained!

I do need a little help with building more confidence, but I’ve learned so much while living with my foster family so I don’t think it will take long. I’m willing to learn with you leading the way. I’m a bit shy of strangers so be patient with me and let me get to know you.

My crate isn’t my favorite place to be, I mean, I’d rather be right next to YOU! However, I sleep great in my crate and I’m fine to spend time in it when you are away. Other than that, I like to lay around and be with the fam. I’m pretty good at not chewing things, I shouldn’t but I will need some guidance and bones and balls are great at keeping me busy.

What do you think? Am I the right guy for you?
