Say hello to Atlas Nova! Atlas is one of four pups in the brand-new Nova litter. These cuties are 3 months old and look to be Labrador/English Pointer mixes. Atlas and his brothers were born to a stray mother at a litter, and now we're looking for furever homes for these little guys.
Atlas is your classic playful puppy -- affectionate, outgoing, and ready to have fun! He can entertain himself with squeaky chew toys, but also loves puppy playgroup. He likes to chase his brothers, wrestle, and have a great time with his furry friends. He is definitely a lap pet (especially while he's still pretty tiny!) and loves to snuggle.
Like any young pup, Atlas is going to need some help with his training. He's working on his house training, crate training, and walking nicely on a leash. He sometimes tries to escape through doors and gates, but it's only because he's eager and excited! With a little practice, we're confident Atlas will master his house manners in no time. Puppy training classes are also always a great idea for new dogs and their families. Atlas would love to socialize with some other dogs, and it will be a great way to pick up some new training tips! He's ready to learn and find some new friends to love.

Medical Note: This dog is being treated/has been treated for demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition. The dog has responded well to this treatment and is ready for adoption, though may still have some bald patches and/or thin fur in places. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption for adults or until 18 months of age for puppies. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange and talk with your Adoption Counselor about this condition. Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.
To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
