DOB 4/16/24 Praline’s story started out a little rough. Her foster family found her at approximately 4 months old on their front porch thin, visibly ill and struggling to eat. As cat lovers, they couldn’t resist this beautiful Snowshoe Lilac Point kitten and took her in to get her the treatment she needed. Thanks to the diligent care of her foster Mom and a local vet, she improved, regained her strength, energy and has been slowly gaining weight / eating well and is quite healthy now. She is FIV positive but that doesn’t slow her down nor will it prevent her from living a long happy life. Due to her FIV positive status, she will need to be an indoor only kitty. She is a very active / energetic kitten that needs lots of attention and interaction with her people to keep her engaged. She enjoys interactive play, particularly anything with a bell, laser pointer, toys on strings that make noise and other mice shaped toys. She has been working on her hunting skills with her favorite toys and loves to hide behind things before pouncing on her toys while her foster parents make them move. She does enjoy affectionate attention when you can get her to slow down, particularly laying down on her side while you give her head scratches, ear rubs, under chin scratches and when she is really relaxed, armpit rubs. She will allow you to hold her for short periods of time if done correctly. When excited / happy she purrs a lot and can be vocal with a cute little high pitched squeak meow to get your attention. She hasn’t really been around other pets so it is unclear how she would interact with them. Her foster family has an elderly indoor kitty that isn’t very fond of other cats. Being in an only cat household might be best for her knowing what we currently know, however with the right situation and diligent parents, it’s possible she could do well with other pets after proper and slow introductions. As she has gotten older, her unique fur coloring features have become more pronounced. Praline is a beautiful energetic kitten looking for her fur-ever home with lots of love.
