Pearl is one of the wonderful pets available for adoption at Memphis Animal Services. She's spent time with a few of our staff members, who love her polite and affectionate personality.
Here is what one staff member said after having a play date:
"I took Pearl out for pictures and play time today. She was polite to leash and had very nice kennel manners, sitting quietly in the front. She was shaking a bit in the kennel, one of her direct neighbors is very loud and is under treatment for FAS. Pearl appeared startled with the loud noise but came with a wagging tail to me anyways.
Once outside, she went to the bathroom immediately and began to play. She enjoyed running in circles and investigating the water pool, but was captivated by the tennis balls. She plays fetch very well, always returning the ball and dropping it politely near my feet. She did not tug the ball or nip at my hand when I picked it up.
When I crouched low to get pictures of her, she trotted right over and flopped against me, pushing me over and climbing in my lap. She fell with her belly up for belly rubs and closed her eyes. She liked to wiggle around like a little worm to get comfy, she was comfortable laying against me and getting head scratches for a minute while enjoying the breeze. Very good girl!"
A staff member says this about me: "Pearl immediately caught my eye due to her adorable innocent face. I decided to take her outside where she explored the yard, but always came back to sit by my side. Me and ACT Jordan decided to dog test her with another female out of Dog C (Dobby). She immediately was super interested in Dobby. She was super friendly and social with a gentle/dainty playstyle. She offered play bows, but Dobby didn't seem interested in her. So, she played with the humans instead. She is overall an amazing and sweet girl."
