Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPT RIGBY! 🐾
🐾 Meet Rigby—a gentle and loving soul who’s patiently waiting for a forever family to call his own 💕. This handsome kitty has had a tough time recently after his beloved owner went into a nursing home. The owner’s family surrendered Rigby to a local animal shelter. Rigby has been feeling a bit lost and alone without his owner, but he’s ready to start a new chapter with someone who can offer him the comfort and love he misses so dearly 💙.
Rigby is a truly affectionate cat who adores being close to his people. His favorite pastimes are snuggling up, purring like a motorboat 🚤, and soaking up as many pets as he can get. With his warm, calm nature, he’s the kind of kitty who’ll curl up beside you for hours, filling the room with soft purrs and lots of love. He’s a quiet, gentle presence who will be the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal, cuddly friend.
However, Rigby does need a bit of extra patience and understanding 💞. He’s naturally shy and very nervous in new places, and he’ll need time to adjust as he works through the sadness of missing his past home. At first, Rigby may keep to himself, quietly observing and adjusting to his new surroundings 🕊️. But with a caring and gentle touch, he will come out of his shell, and his true personality will shine. Underneath his initial shyness, there’s a sweet, affectionate boy just waiting to share his love again 🌟.
Rigby’s ideal family will be one that understands the beauty of earning a cat’s trust over time. If you’re someone who believes in the power of patience, compassion, and love, Rigby could be the perfect addition to your home. He’ll reward your kindness with endless snuggles, a lifetime of purrs, and the gentle companionship of a friend who truly appreciates a second chance 🐱💖.
** Rigby needs an indoor-only, quiet home with plenty of comfy beds, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. He needs a patient family who will give him lots of love, attention, and playtime. **
He does great with other cats after proper introductions. We aren’t sure how he is with dogs. We believe he would do best in a home without children right now, as they may frighten him. He is litter box trained.
Could you be the one to give Rigby the loving forever home he’s been waiting for? 🏡❤️

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
