Meow! My name is Margarita, Rita for short, born approximately 5/1/19. I’m a petite tabico female. You might notice that my tail is just a stub and bald on the end. I was living outside as a young kitten and a bad person set my tail on fire. It got infected and I got sick. That’s when I found a rescuer and let her help me because I was in so much pain, even though I was really afraid of people after what had happened. The rescuer got me medical treatment, but I did end up losing most of my tail. My foster mom has shown me so much kindness and love that I now trust people again. I may be a bit cautious at first, but I do love to be petted and I love head scratches. Once I do warm up, I like to greet you whenever you come into a room and will reach out with my paw to remind you to pet me. I have beautiful color and markings and a quirky fun personality. I’m good with a small number of other mellow cats, but I don’t like dogs. I can live with them if they ignore me though. I would prefer a calm home with older children only as I do startle easily. Introductions to other animals should be done slowly as well. I’m spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and ready to make a home with the right person. My adoption fee is $50.
