Meet Courage, a 1-year-old Pit Mix with a heart as big as his name suggests! Though the world sometimes feels a little overwhelming, Courage has an incredible spirit that shines brightest when he’s by his person’s side. This sweet, loyal boy may need a moment to take in new experiences, but once he knows he’s safe, his playful, affectionate nature shines through. With a patient and loving companion to help him navigate life, Courage is ready to take on any adventure, proving that true bravery comes from the heart.
Unfortunately, Courage came to the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center heartworm positive but the good news is that we will provide the necessary treatment for him at no additional cost to you! While Courage is undergoing heartworm treatment he will be placed in our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program so that you can start bonding with your new pet and give them a calm place to get better! Heartworm treatment is very safe, and the success rate is high, and the Pet Resource Center prefers dogs like Courage to recover in a home with an adopter rather than in a shelter.
