My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Brock I came from a puppy mill in California. I am a big guy weighing in at 32 lbs and tall. I have a sparkle in my left eye and I do have to say I have a beautiful coat! I had a challenging start in life, but I am slowly learning what it means to be a cherished pet rather than just another dog in a lab experiment. I spent time in a pack but now I’m discovering the joy of individual attention and love.

I’m a shy and mostly nervous boy who is beginning to understand and enjoy human attention. Though initially reserved, I am slowly coming around and starting to appreciate being petted and loved. I do watch the other dogs a lot and follow them and they are teaching me the way a dog should act. Now some of it isn’t always great but for the most part I avoid all conflict and I am starting to venture off on my own a little bit. I want am learning to be a lover not a fighter and trust is my biggest issue with humans. I will let them pet me but its on my own terms. Trying to put a leash on me is not easy all the time. I do enjoy spending time in the pool floating around and observing my foster siblings act like maniacs with a ball. I am telling you I do not know how to be a dog or a member of a family.
I feel like my combatable family would be great with other dogs. I tend to maintain a calm demeanor and I don’t think I have ever even barked in front of my foster family. They are mostly focused on getting me to understand what its like to be a family member. I really need a patient and loving family that will spend time with me alone and also with my new pack that might be in my new home.
I am slowly learning how to walk on a leash. I am more and more comfortable in a pool with a life jacket and enjoy floating, I most definitely enjoy treats and the dinners my dad makes for me on the grill every night. I have rarely been having accidents in the house, and I know how to use a doggy door now. Hi crate is his safe place, sometimes I like to lay with my siblings sometimes I like to do my own thing.
According to the vet I am healthy, considering my background and I am ready to move onto the adoption page and start looking for my forever family. My currently in Scottsdale and my foster Dad lets me roam freely, which is great because I have lived in a kennel my whole life.
I will thrive in a home where I receives the special attention I need to feel safe and loved. With a little patience, a lot of love and structure, I know I can be a loyal and loving member of your family.
Why Brock Will Be a Great Addition to Your Family:
Brock is a gentle soul who, despite his difficult past, is learning to trust and love. He will reward your patience and care with loyalty and affection. Brock will make your home his home after a few weeks of adjustment and will be a wonderful, loving companion. Vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, vet cleared. Apply on our site $1000.00
