Tawny is a bright, affectionate, and curious dog who is eager to find a loving home. This 6-year-old is full of energy and is smart as a whip, and she’s always ready for an adventure whether it’s a walk in the park or an afternoon of playing fetch. She loves to cuddle and get belly rubs- she'll be your loyal companion, always sticking by your side. She's hopeful that you will give her a chance and come meet her so that she can show you how wonderful she is.

More about this shelter
The Animal Control Division is dedicated to providing the best possible care and help for all the animals of St. Johns County. Every member of our staff strives to deliver conscientious, quality care to the animals and responsive, professional service to our citizens.
Field Services: Our Animal Control Officers are here to protect both the citizens and the pets of St. Johns County. They do this by enforcing the laws established by our County.
Pet Center: The Pet Center has an excellent staff that feeds, waters, cleans, and medicates the animals in our care. We have veterinary technicians that process every animal that comes through our door. The animals are looked over thoroughly, scanned for microchips, and given needed medications. The Pet Center has a wide variety of dogs and cats that are looking for a loving home. We encourage you to bring your family and your “furry” family members to interact and ensure a good fit.
