My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Autumn is a sweet and gentle soul looking for a patient and loving home. As a shy puppy, she thrives in calm environments and needs a special someone to help her build confidence with new people and other dogs. With the guidance of an Animal Kind trainer, Autumn can learn to navigate the world with more assurance.

Ideal Home: Autumn would do best in a quiet household where she can take her time to adjust. A family with experience in working with shy dogs or a willingness to learn would be perfect. A secure yard for her to explore at her own pace and a commitment to positive reinforcement training will help her blossom.

Fun Facts:

Autumn loves treats and will be eager to learn new tricks!
She enjoys gentle playtime with her favorite toys.
Once she warms up, her playful personality shines through!

If you're ready to give Autumn the support and love she needs, please consider adopting this beautiful girl. Together, you can create a trusting bond and help her grow into the confident companion she's meant to be!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
