Otto von Immert is a beautiful, 3-year-old German Shepherd. A lad with a heart full of love and loyalty, Otto is the perfect blend of medium energy, enthusiasm and impeccable manners. He thrives on meeting new people and is always ready for an adventure! On walks Otto stays right by your side, attentive to your every move and following commands effortlessly. His exceptional loose-leash walking skills make him an ideal walking companion, even among other dogs. Otto's affectionate nature shines through in his love for head pats, back scratches and tummy rubs. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this amazing boy: he proves his cleverness by perfectly executing commands like "Sit" and "Down," and taking treats with utmost gentleness. This big love bug has a charming habit of snuggling and cuddling, making him a wonderful companion for quiet moments. Otto prefers to keep to himself in playgroups and would thrive as the only dog in a loving home (and no cats please). If you're looking for a handsome, bright and loving German Shepherd, Otto von Immert is the perfect match for you!
Rescued from the Carson animal shelter.

Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

In order to adopt any dog from Westside German Shepherd Rescue, one must fill out an adoption application first. Upon receipt of your application, a Westside adoption counselor will contact you.We do aerial home checks and you may be asked to supply pictures as well as arranging for a home visit prior to adoption.
Adoption fees vary with each dog and typically range from $150 to $500. They are set, taking into account the dog's age, training level, temperament, if they’re newly arrived, medical condition(s) (if any) and other factors. Adoption fees are used not only to rescue and place the dog you are personally adopting, but to aid in the future rescue and rehabilitation of other deserving dogs. Adoption fees are necessary; without fees, our rescue efforts would quickly come to an end. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
